Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar’s entire family attended the trailer launch. During the launch, Salman Khan told that superstar Manoj Kumar had taken the credit of Salim-Javed’s writing in the film Kranti. After this, Salman Khan called the writing of this film Chana Jor Garam. Chana Jor Garam was also the title of a song in the film Kranti.

Salman said, ‘Mr. Manoj Kumar had snatched the credit from Salim-Javed. He had said that he had written the film Kranti.’ On this Farhan Akhtar asked whether he had done this? On this Salman said – yes. Then Farhan said that we will make a separate documentary on Manoj ji. Then Salman said – It is true that Manoj Kumar who directed, edited and produced Kranti. He used to say that I used to write, I used to narrate it and he used to do the same and go away… but he had written this film. Just like Chana Jor Garam.
Let us tell you that according to the poster of the film, the credit for the story-screenplay has been given to Salim-Javed. While the credit for the lyrics has been given to Santosh Anand and Manoj Kumar and the credit for the dialogues has been given to Manoj Kumar.
Farhan Khan said that he has seen Kranti 300 times. He also called Salman Khan honest for this confession. The film Kranti had stars like Dilip Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor. Manoj had directed the film.
